John Soules Foods, Inc. began operations in 1975 in Tyler, Texas. Over the next 37 years, growth was the major influence driving the company’s success. In May 1996, John Soules Foods began operations in it’s newly constructed 83,000 square foot, state-of-the-art, USDA Inspected processing facility on 67 acres of land just north of Tyler.
Construction of additional supporting buildings after 1996, increased the total plant facility to a size of 115,000 square feet.
In 1998, the company completed a 9,600 square foot building expansion, to support two new cooked meat production lines, which initiated the company’s first venture into fully cooked products.
To meet the needs of John Soules Foods rapid sales growth, in June 2006, the company completed construction of a 125,000 square foot expansion to a total 240,000 square foot facility. The plant expansion included two high volume state-of-the-art production lines to produce fully cooked meat products. Total project cost was $30 million.
John Soules Foods is recognized nationally as a leading producer of high quality value-added meat products. The Company has emerged as the leading Fajita processing and marketing company in the US. John Soules Foods distributes its line of Fajita products to Foodservice Distributors,Multi-Unit National and Regional Restaurant Groups, Supermarket Chains and Institutional Businesses.
